Venue Manager, Zingerman's Cornman Farms

Tabitha thinks that growing up in Frankenmuth, Michigan’s Little Bavaria, is what makes her so passionate about Gemütlichkeit (warm hospitality)!

Her 16 year career at the Bavarian Inn, Frankenmuth’s signature restaurant, most certainly nurtured that passion. First as a server, then a manager and finally as the Director of Sales and Catering, Tabitha worked alongside the founder/owners of the Inn, growing and learning as the business did.

In 2010 Tabitha joined Zingerman’s as the General Manager of Zingerman’s Roadhouse - a full service restaurant serving “really good American food” whose chef-owner won the James Beard Best Chef, Great Lakes award in 2011. As GM, Tabitha, and a team of around 80 staff, was responsible for delivering “The Zingerman’s Experience” to the thousands of guests who dine at the Roadhouse each year. No small feat, especially considering Zingerman’s nationally recognized high standards for food and service!

In 2012, Tabitha became the Service Steward for the Zingerman’s Community of Businesses. The Zingerman’s Service Steward role is to enable every Zingerman’s business to deliver a great experience to internal and external customers. She did this by analyzing and leveraging company wide service data, managing internal customer service training and chairing a committee of service champions to execute company wide service improvements.

In 2015, Tabitha accepted the role of Venue Manager at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms - the perfect match for her decades of hospitality and service experience. Cornman Farms is a 42-acre working farm and event space in Dexter, Michigan. As Venue Manager, Tabitha manages day to day operations, leads the Event Coordination, Execution team, Groundskeeping/Maintenance and Beverage Coordination teams. She is particularly excited to be overseeing the recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervision of all staff and building and maintaining long-term relationships with our guests and vendors.

Tabitha has been a trainer for ZingTrain since 2012. Her passion for customer service, her extensive experience at Zingerman’s and her empathetic and easy-going style make her a particularly effective trainer.
