Bio

While Emily is one of the rare ZingTrain employees that didn’t work for another Zingerman’s business before beginning her tenure at ZingTrain in 2017, her Ann Arbor upbringing immersed her in all of the magic that the Zingerman’s Community of Businesses had to offer from a very young age. (The reuben! The brownies! The customer service! The infamous Muno font!)

After spending her summers working in retail and with a few internships at interior design firms under her belt, Emily graduated with her B.S. in Global Retailing and Marketing from Michigan State University in 2009. Since then, she has worked in marketing departments promoting various retail goods, business consulting and medical imaging equipment before finding her place as ZingTrain’s Community Builder – a job she snagged after writing her very own vision of success – in 2017.

As ZingTrain’s resident marketer, Emily loves finding ways to infuse her love of creative and compelling communication with helping organizations develop their people and processes in ways that benefit their bottom lines. A few of her proudest moments include incorporating the inbound marketing methodology into many of ZingTrain’s marketing processes, starting ZingTrain’s blog and she’s excited to have co-led the redesign of ZingTrain’s website, which you’re cruising as we speak!

The technical, creative, marketing-y type of stuff Emily really enjoys: copywriting, developing and hosting webinars, social media strategy, email marketing, graphic design and search engine optimization (SEO). She’s skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, WordPress, Blogger, Google Analytics, Salesforce and Zoho CRM.
