Bring ZingTrain To Your Team

Blog

Katy Alexander

Pop Quiz! What do all of these things have in common?

School library, tribal hall, church basement, pole barn, casino floor, downtown cafe, hotel ballroom, botanical garden, the World Trade Center.

Answer?

They’re all places you’ve invited us to train your teams! We’ve got decades of experience MacGyvering workshops in practically any location.

The tools and frameworks we teach sprouted from a quirky Jewish deli, and they’ve been applied in just about every type and size of business out there. From small non-profits to large corporations, investment advisers to ice cream producers, our content works for all humans who work with other humans.

Why bring ZingTrain to you?

  • It can be more time and cost-effective than sending folks to us in Ann Arbor, Michigan
  • Many people can engage with the same content at the same time
  • There’s an upcoming company-wide event, retreat, or off-site
  • You want more customized content than our regularly scheduled seminars and virtual workshops
  • It gives you the opportunity to collaborate with a friend’s business or organization and share the cost

Client Story: Living Servant Leadership in Napa Valley, CA

Longtime client, Domaine Carneros Estate Winery, reached out to us with two goals: share leadership tools with newer leaders and develop stronger communication throughout their 30-person leadership team, who manage everything from sparkling wine production to sparkling hospitality!

A one-day Living Servant Leadership workshop delivered a host of practical ways to embody servant leadership in their daily work, from communicating priorities to delegating tasks. We also collaborated on the design of a custom “Valentine’s” exercise to give departments a structured opportunity to appreciate one another and identify ways to improve communication across the winery.

Our leadership team emerged from the training with renewed energy and actionable strategies, and we’ve seen tangible improvements in cross-departmental collaboration. The return on investment has been clear with more efficient strategies to approach challenges and a team that speaks a common language.

– Remi C., CEO

Training topics that are terrific for travel

Most popular: A tie between Servant Leadership and Customer Service

Trending: Courageous Conversations (which makes our hearts happy)

Hidden gems: Bottom-Line Change® and Employee Training

Customized training begins with you! Many of our content areas can be found as virtual workshops on our website. Some of you reach out and know exactly how you’d like us to help (e.g. more consistent customer service, please!) Others come to us with an idea or challenge, and we collaborate on the options (e.g. how do I get seasoned employees on board with new ideas?)

Most topics are about a half-day of training. In 1-day or multi-day workshops, you can mix and match to tie content areas together and deepen your learning experience.

Client Story: Courageous Conversations in Midland, MI

The nearly 100-year-old Midland Country Club came to us with a common, uncomfortable workplace challenge: how to have more productive conflicts with one another when not getting along. In other words, they wanted to have more courageous conversations!

We guided their 20-person leadership team through a 4-hour Courageous Conversations workshop full of tools to 1) assess if you want to have a conversation, 2) prepare in advance, and 3) structure the conversation to help it go well. Over the course of the workshop, they went from hesitant to high-spirited, and fully participated in the final role-play to test out what they’d learned!

Going back a year later, we discovered that the team now uses these tools regularly, and they feel safe and comfortable saying, “Hey, can we have a courageous conversation?”

I would highly recommend this workshop for any busy team. When something may not go as planned, or someone has a conflict, we all have the nomenclature to de-escalate situations and find common ground.

-Todd B. GM

What about the virtual world?

We train there, too! Bring your team together to learn virtually from wherever they are. Personalized virtual workshops include the hallmarks of a great in-person experience: plenty of opportunities to ask questions, have small group discussions, and share learnings with each other.
